The club are pleased to announce that Luke Potter has accepted the role of First Team Manager on a permanent basis following his spell as interim manager.
Luke has worked at clubs throughout the non-league pyramid as Manager and Assistant following his time as a professional player at Barnsley.
The board believe that Luke has the qualities we are looking for to continue the positive progress at all levels in the club. He is young and ambitious and shares the aspirations of the club to progress up through the leagues.
Chairman Richard Norman said ‘It became clear during his time as interim that Luke is a manager who has what we need to take the squad forward and add quality where we need to improve. The club is looking to build on the pathways we have established, recruiting local talent and bringing in experienced players with the right character’
Luke added ‘Firstly I enjoyed the 5 game spell at the back end of the season. It’s a great club with great people and volunteers behind it. I’m happy to have accepted the offer to take on the role going into the new season. The club is re-building off the field and hopefully we can replicate that on the field as well’
We will be making further announcements as we appoint the other members of the management team.
Great to have you with us going forward Potts!!
