A couple of weeks ago we interviewed the new Azzurri recruits but we ran out of time before we could interview Conor Green. We have now righted that wrong!
ME – tell us a bit about yourself – what position you play & your style of play
CG – play down the left side can either be LB or LM/W, 6,1” got pace and power, like to run past people, like getting up and down to support attacks, want to get as many crosses in as possible – that’s a wingers/fullbacks primary job going forward in my opinion.
ME – how did the phone call with Frecks go when he called to see if you wanted to sign up
CG – Frecks gave me a call, explained what his plans are for the season where he wants to be and what he expects from the group. Bought into what he said and want to be a part of what’s happening. He explained what he wants from me and the plan of training location etc that fits in well with my life atm. Obviously saw the progress he made from coming into the club last season and heard nothing but positivity about himself and how he works.
ME – what do you do outside football
CG – I’m currently studying Physiotherapy part time, about to go into my final year. Also I work in engineering the other half of the week.
ME – possibly a September start, you looking forward to the hard graft of pre-season????
CG – Looking forward to it being back as soon as possible and ready to get back to being around the environment, meeting the lads and working hard to work and creating a platform for the upcoming season.
