In line with revised stadium accreditation requirements, Frickley Athletic were contacted by the FA and their consultants Marsh to take part in a survey relating to the pitch perimeter and materials used in the barrier at Westfield Lane.

As a result of the survey and resulting report, the club has received details of the work required to maintain safety standards, this includes the concrete wall being replaced with approved fencing and the team dugouts also being replaced as they are part of the supporting barrier.

The FA are providing 100% funding towards this project which includes the demolition and disposal as well as the replacement.

A number of site visits have taken place and are planned which will determine how we proceed with this work and we hope to have final quotes in ready for submission shortly.

The timeline for the work has not been determined although we hope this will not impact on the current 2026/27 season.

Once we are in a position to confirm how we proceed, an update will be provided.
